I think there comes a time\u00a0in one’s life when you\u00a0stop seeing your parents as mom and dad, and realize instead they are people too.\u00a0 It happens when you reach a certain level of maturity.\u00a0 So I imagine some\u00a0never realize it and some realize it after it’s too late.\u00a0 Perhaps for many, as for me,\u00a0it\u00a0happens during young adulthood.<\/p>\n
What I mean is you no longer think of your parents as simply parents, but as adults.\u00a0 They are no longer the authority figures, or those who we think have all the answers.\u00a0 Instead each is a person, like yourself, with hopes and\u00a0dreams\u00a0and plans.\u00a0 They make mistakes.\u00a0 They have happiness and sorrow.\u00a0 They try their best.<\/p>\n
